I wonder if this film is really based on a true story or

if it is throwing a bomb at another Korean classic.

Never believe what u publish and never publish what u believe. Jus sit back and enjoy the ride. Let's not b another bejan daruwalla or sunita menon by predicting the future. Our country doesn't require astrologers mate. If u like thrillers, check out memories of murder, the keeper of lost causes, killers (2014).

What a brilliant reply from @fella_shibby.

I always wondered on people who would come out and blame that this idea is already been presented and that, the idea is the copyrighted proposition of the director and he said that anyone else who would make an attempt to duplicate or replicate his idea, must be considered a blasphemous person and must be crucified.

If someone wants to work on a previously used concept, let it be. May be the new director has something new to add to it, or may be he present the idea in a better way than the previous one. But unfortunately we live in a world of narrow minded people who would never grab the vastness of the canvas of the idea and be used by some other one. This is why we are giving birth to today's smartphone generation who are utter blind in this world's glitter but see nothing.

The OP will still get nothing out of these words, and he will continue to urinate on any good movie. He feels pride in this way, then let it be. But he won't see the devastation caused by his urination and vomit, to others.

Oh! Finally the voice of reason! @AwaixJvd - it truly was a pleasure to read your well reasoned comment and I pray that others will find the same enjoyment in your thoughts! I have often tried to relay the same ideas, but you have done so in a very thoughtful manner and I hope that it will reach into the minds of more people than I've been able to touch. I'm also very impressed (even though saddened) by your comment about our smart phone generation. I do take a peacefully, deep breath every so often when I encounter someone from that generation who is actually an intelligent and thinking person and it gives me hope that they will continue to spread good examples.

Here's another pet peeve of mine when reading comments about movies/TV series, etc. - Oh, this is terrible, they are not even close to the story of the book! Hah! Basically, your comments about movie concepts also fit this situation rather well. For myself, I have always loved reading books because they allow you to paint the story as your mind interprets it. Seldom, are two people going to agree on all that they see when they have finished reading a book - the characters are going to look vastly different and perhaps even have different back stories not supplied by the author. That's the point of literature - our individual experiences and knowledge are going to greatly affect how we interpret the written material. So, how can we expect that anyone, any director, any actor is going to provide the same story that we created in our minds (with help from the books)?

As for the OP, I think you have summed that up rather well also, but my first response when I read this subject on the main page was, "Why would anyone doubt rather or not it's based upon a true story and why would anyone really care?" It's got to be true in someone's world.
