The most American French movie ever made

The attention to detail in this homage to American movies from the 60's to present is remarkable. From the American-looking characters and their dress, the houses, furniture, the way of talking ("Dude. She's a keeper"), the young surfer-looking kid, the music, the baseball field, the vehicles, to the the suburban landscape, Tu dor Nicole could have taken place in California or anytown USA any time during the past few decades. The director could remake this as an English movie with American actors without changing much at all.
