Characterization and Slow Pacing

I enjoyed to see what was going on in these character's heads. We usually don't get to see much of that in animated Marvel productions. It's usually nonstop smash and bash and I was glad to see the story delve into some emotions. That's what originally drew me to Marvel's comic books, because they cared about the humanity of the characters, I suppose you could say in the 80's, 90's, unlike DC at that time who were just into beating up the baddies and calling it a day. Although, I think DC did take a page from Marvel later in terms of emotional exploration.

The pacing was slow in many parts. That can get boring, but I did manage to still enjoy the film. I remember one of the first full length anime films I watched was Ghost In The Shell and the slow pacing of that film won me over to anime ever since. I found it to be something new and interesting. And I felt like the action in the film was quite nice. Really enjoyed the combat, explosions and blood. Ultimately, I have to say very nice film, really enjoyed it, and will watch again for my favorite parts.

Anybody who calls this movie slow is an immature manchild who just wants to see the hulk scream "hulk angry" and punch things for 90 minutes straight.
