90% of this movie is Black Widow and The Punisher crying to each other. The avengers don't show up until the last 15 minutes of the film to clean up the mess the two have created. There is literally 10 minutes of action in this movie; everything else is boring nonsense. Pass on this crappy movie.

shareWhile the film did miss out on heavier plot details, it was a nice feature on two characters though. The film didn't need the Avengers title in it, thats why its disappointed some folks thinking they'd all be in it throughout.
But for what its worth its put the Punisher in another Marvel animated feature and made some nice nods to last year's Iron-Man: Rise of Technovore film for continuity sakes. No its not some massively great film but its not terrible though. If anything it was better than Iron-Man: Rise of Technovore with a smaller story.
Geesh some of you guys are jokers, even if the download would disappoint you, you won't even check it out based upon what other people say of the film? Doesn't anybody form they're own opinions anymore.

On the note of continuity, it would have been nice if they would have kept the Punisher's character model consistent from his Ironman: Rise of the Technovore appearance. In that regards, his appearance in that previous film was very "anime-ish" or Japanese, his appearance in this show is more in-line with the traditional Western appearance of the Punisher, IMO - but it is hard to not notice he looks like an almost different person. If I recall, I think they had issues with keeping Cyclops and Wolverine looking consistent between the different Marvel anime mini-series, too.

I should know, I've been collecting Punisher comics since the late 80s. He's never had a face where it looks like it's melting, a curtained hairstyle or long sideburns. Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher was actually quite accurate in his appearance.

Why stick with an appearance model that didn't even come close the character??? Just because it wasn't in continuity... oh please, give me a break. I don't know what some people saw in that horrible ugly looking anime-ish appearance and I never will.
It's not that bad, give it a chance, it has lots of action from Punisher.

shareThis was one of my favorite of Marvel's new animated movies. As a Marvel fan and someone who sees and enjoys all superhero animated movies, I enjoyed this one. It wasn't supposed to be a Avengers film, hence the Confidencal part of the title, although seeing them pop up in the end for a (very) few scenes only added to the movie. Was it perfect? No. Was it very enjoyable to see the Punisher as a bad ass? Yes, yes it was.

i don't what you watched this movie is solid 7 out of 10 it has none stop action and tons of fighting scenes only down side is they have made it too short trying to squeeze all in to 83min when it should have been at least 2-3 hour movie or a mini series, i loved it still and will recommend it to any one.
