Convoluted and Uninteresting Story

"2047 - Sights of Death" is a convoluted film set 30+ years in the future, but honestly looks farther away than that. Sci-fi with some bullets and blood, it stars a few named actors who must have needed the pesos, that is my only guess why they are in this thing. Danny Glover sends Stephen Baldwin into an area where there was genocide to collect evidence that the ruling Guvment has done some bad bad things so they can be exposed. Rutger Hauer plays the leader of the bad guys who set out to stop Baldwin. Accompanying Hauer is Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah (one of my favorites), and an assortment of dumb bells which proves that people are just going to be dumber in the decades to come. About the only interesting thing about the movie is the appearance of Neva Leoni, who plays a survivor of the bad things that occurred in that area. But the story is not very good and most of the movie was shot on dim litted sets. Unless you are a diehard sci-fi fan and this storyline appeals to you, then this is a skip it. * 1/2 out of 4 stars.
