With Disney owning practically everything will she get blacklisted now?

I mean the mouse 🐭 will definitely not forget

who?

reply

Well, Van Damme got blacklisted in the '90s for being too greedy.

reply

The same will probably happen to Scajo, but she is a 36 year old wealthy woman. Her career is approaching to an end anyway.

reply

A pity. She could have been like Charlize Theron or Sandra Bullock.

reply

Aging is affecting her much more than those 2.

I still think Tiffani Thiessen is a very attractive woman, then again aging is a lot harsher on most women.

reply

Christina Ricci is the exception to the rule. She's the female equivalent to Tom Cruise.

reply

And Van Damme aged horribly as well and wasn't a box office drawcard after age 40.

reply

lets just say a Black Widow II: Resurrection is unlikely to be green lit anytime soon

reply

I dont think so. She is too popular to get blacklisted

Outside of the infantile Marvel universe, SJ isn't that popular as an actress. The majority of the films she has headlined over the last 20 years have bombed.

Once this Disney business starts costing her leading roles in big films, her fans will be clamouring for excuses. They'll claim that she chose to take on more supporting roles in ensemble films and the odd leading role in little-seen indies because she has the money to work on projects she's only truly interested in doing. It's the go-to excuse for fans of an actor or actress whose status has dipped considerably.

By the way, Val Kilmer - a huge star in the 1990s - was blacklisted in Hollywood because of his behaviour. He went from A-List jobs to direct-to-video movies. SJ isn't anything special. The Marvel films would have been hits without her. Look at Jennifer Lawrence. Once upon a time, she was the darling of Tinsel Town, now she struggles to find decent roles.

Reminds me of the artist formerly known as Ellen Page.

But have you seen Her?

reply

Not likely, as the lawsuit media bombardment is just a publicity stunt to get into a better negotiating position for a settlement out of court.

Disney will probably negotiate a percent of some sort out of court.

reply

If Disney would otherwise cast her in a bankable MCU movie, they’ll still do so because there is money to be made. But I doubt they’ll cast her for anything other than the Black Widow role. And, even then, lot depends upon how she conducts herself outside then courtroom. If she is hostile towards Disney in her public comments, Disney’ll probably write her off and move on. She’ll still get work from other studios, though. Just not the Marvel-sized paychecks.

reply

Not a chance in hell.

She will be fine.

I'd bet the farm.

She could always just transition to a man then anyone blacklisting her would automatically be a bigot.

reply

My wife's niece transitioned to a dude and she (they? it?) is just a pain in the ass. If that makes me a bigot, then I welcome bigotude.
