Professor Quatermass - where are you?

The splicing of increasing paranormal activity with pending nuclear wipeout is a clear throwback to the A/H-bomb paranoia of the 50's, the ending being reminiscent of The Quatermass and the Pit. It didn't work. Plus, too many questions over who did the post editing, and why, and how did the footage survive, etc.

To be honest, I lost interest the moment the psychic turned up. At that point it became yet another by-the-dots paranormal-horror flick to watch while you're doing something far more interesting; knitting perhaps.

The sound has been commented on elsewhere but I had no problems. Must be down to individual TV/sound systems.
