It's an indictment of today's Hollywood that this movie is not being lauded and celebrated. 10-15 years ago this would be considered an awesome achievement. But the glut of low budget crap that is clogging the marketplace has let this film get lost in the shuffle, and that's a shame.
Great work, kudos to the filmmakers for crafting something unique and full of drama. And for pulling good to great performances from non actors.

I knew nothing about this film going into it. I think a friend recommended it who works at Sundance. I have to agree with the nay sayer. Nothing happens in this film and watching loggers cut down trees is not drama... even when there are carpenter ants inside of them. I actually felt sorry for the trees and for the cow more than I did for the central character. I'm not blaming the actors for it. There is barely any storyline here at all. It's like a song without any melody. Being from New England I recognized the real nature of the actors but big deal.
