Watched this because it had a 7.2 rating and the only post in here said "great movie". It was also #1 trending on netflix.
Terrible movie. Literally nothing happens. They log some trees. Horrible acting and a barely decipherable story.
I agree the movie was very boring. I can't judge the acting too much because all of the people in the movies portrayed themselves (I'm pretty sure) and are locals of The Berkshires and not actors.
I thought the movie was sweet, but I am biased because I grew up where it was filmed and it made me homesick. It was not action driven and the story was a bit weak, but it was a portrayal of a family's real life struggle. And I also like the BMPCC that they used for filming.
I don't agree Tony, but I disagree with most of your comments. I found this to be a gem of a movie. You disliked 'Last Days of Disco.'
shareThis film is like The Emperor's New Clothes. I feel stating the truth about it is going to cause a swarm of hipsters to buzz around me... but I have to agree that nothing happens here. It feels like it was made by a film student who thinks that they have the Midas touch and that anything they film will be full of deeper hidden meanings.
