Brilliant film!

Kung Fury is like having non-stop bolts of joy riveted directly into your head with a jackhammer.

Pure bliss. Just how I remember the 80's being.

I loved this movie and agree 100%!

Dont you think 30 mins was just perfect? If it was over 60 mins I might of had a seizure. I hope he makes a couple more.

30 minutes was just perfect. Kept my interest. And I agree that he needs to make a series (online). Same characters, different characters, it doesn't matter, I would watch it!!

It's a good thing it wasn't a full length movie, i doubt they could've kept that up for 90+ minutes and still make it as awesome (like Last Action Hero, good movie but is a bit too long and drags on). Though i wished it as a bit longer (maybe 45 minutes) with giving some more times to some scenes (the laser raptors and all that)

The last act of LAH gets a little too heavy handed for my taste. Otherwise, excellent film. Kung Fury is an absolute blast from front to back. I can see them making an 80 minute film without skipping a beat. There's so many other films to reference and batsh!t insane ideas to explore. 90 might be pushing it, though.

I can only say that I agree with the rest. It was an absolute blast... from the past.. but made during the last ~3 years (they started with the trailer, started the kickstarter using that trailer and got funded to the point where they could get the Hoff to do his best music video EVER in a pure awesome 80'ies action hero movie soundtrack hit.

I have no doubt that David Sandberg have caught MANY peoples attention and will bring us more awesome fun. Kung Fury takes the prize in retro-movie mashing. Can't wait for his next production or a sequel.

FRAK YEAH! The irony that David Hasselhoff wrote indeed the most amazing song of his career decades after he was big - for a movie that is more 80s than the real 80s.

Man... 30 years ago I had a Knight Rider poster in my bedroom as a kid... and NOW he's back.... :-D

Agreed, best 30 minutes I have spent in quite some time, and the Hoff video was perfect too.

In thish short of rashe, their is no shilver medal for finishing schecond.

I agree that this is the best song Hasselhoff has recorded but the credits for the song True Survivor is as follows:
Written by Jörgen Elofsson & Johan Bengtsson (as Mitch Murder)
Performed by David Hasselhoff

Pretty sure there will be more. The ending scene in KF definitely leaves it open for a sequel.

I'd suggest playing Kung Fury: Street Rage. Awesome video game, and it has one of the hardest trophies/achievements in a game I've ever tried to grab: the 200x combo multiplier

Better in the first 5 minutes than the whole of Sucker Punch and quite frankly most other Hollywood effluent these days including the putrid Transformers franchise.

reply

True! and I suppose I know why that is: Because it is independently produced and funded so David Sandberg had complete artistic freedom - every director's dream!

In Hollywood, a script goes through so many hands and through so much censorship (or at least changes) that often things become TOO mainstream.

You speak the truth Sir. This was a joy to behold :)

reply

I agree. This is a beautiful movie.
