Kung Fury Easter Eggs

Hoff 9000 as in HAL 9000 and the dialogue between them. I think that's the most overt one. What could you find? List them here.

reply

Hof as the talking car was also a reference to Knight Rider. There are too many others to list.

WE GOT MOVIE SIIIIIGN!

reply

They couldn't bring the Hoffman in and not have a talking car!

"Come with me, if you want to live" - Batman (Ghostbusters)

No, I think you're thinking of something else. Batman said that in 'Ghostbusters'. When's the last time you saw it?

reply

I own T2 and have seen it many times. Which Batman episode is this?

reply

The flying vehicles that "Cobra" was on were from He-Man, at least I'm pretty sure that is the case.

The two Nazis discussing their mustaches are two well-known Swedish comedians - Magnus Betnér (mostly standup) and Björn Gustavsson (sketches).

Maybe not much of an easter egg, but I didn't expect them to appear in the movie at all.

reply

Bitchin cameo for us Swedes 😂

"Game Over" - Aliens
The Bishop of Battle segment from the 1983 film "Nightmares" for the sentient killer arcade machine.
"Bitten by a cobra" - Chuck Norris
General themes of the film influenced by Cobra, Beverly Hills Cop, and Showdown in Little Tokyo. Stallone vs. Neo Nazi scum being the biggest influence.
