shareIt's actually a purposely bad movie... that satirizes the 1980's low budget action B-Movies... and it satirizes them well... it's also very obvious that the filmmakers are very talented,creative, and intelligent individuals... much like the guys behind the Astron-6 team.
And if you're asking people to make some self reflections for enjoying this fun little flick... now, you're just being silly.
This was a recommendation from a guy I work with. He genuinely believes this to be fantastic and becomes overexcited when just talking about it. I used to consider him a 'friend' of sorts until I watched Kung Fury! After wasting 30 minutes of my life watching this junk (Trust me, it felt longer) I now realise that he may just be a mentally challenged retard. The only entertainment to be gained comes from recommending this film to others, safe in the knowledge that they too will have their night ruined.

Kung fury is a great film. Cheesy, stupid yes but if it's taken as what it is then it's a lot of fun. It's just a silly over the top pastiche of the 80's done in a very tongue in cheek way.
Is it a masterpiece, no of course not but as a harmless bit of fun that doesn't take itself too seriously it works.

I, for one, laughed my ass off.
Trust me if you took an IQ test, you'd probably be in the bottom percentile in comparison to average people who liked it.
