He said there was a large Thai community and heard it was safer and greener and would make her happy. Also he made mention of Portlandia which cracked me up, wonder if they're fans of the show and that's where he got the idea from lol.

I was disappointed that he thought that Portland was his last shot at a city to keep her safe in America :( There are plenty of cities he can take her to if they're going to just pack up and lay down roots to start a family since they don't have any here. It was nice to see her speaking to the Thai women at the food truck and receiving some much needed positive advice about the city. It made her feel better that's for sure.

I know she wants to go back to Thailand, but that seemed more like her mother guilting her due to her dad's leg pain. Mom's tend to do that when they miss their children. When they become stable enough they can go visit. I just hate to see her give up on America. I don't want her to leave America thinking we're a country of thieves and it's unsafe here, it's so sad seeing her come all this way to be happy, marry her love and then move back due to some asses who can't get jobs and keep their hands off of other people's property.

Keeping my finger's crossed for them. Again, Kyle annoyed me at first because he didn't treat her like I thought he should but in the end, he stepped up and I was proud of him.

I was on the fb page for the show several days ago, which he does post on fairly often. If you go to his page, he talks about the two of them being at the movies when her purse was stolen, which also contained his wallet, IDs, CC's, car keys and such. He had to wait around till like 2am for a tow truck so his car wasn't stolen. He also mentioned that his motorcycle had been stolen a week or so before (although I think on the show they mentioned their bikes being stolen..so whether it was a bike or motorcycle I am not too sure now). He has aparently been broken into several times, at different homes he lived in. He didn't feel it was safe any longer. From what I gathered though, they actually drove around the country looking for a new city (he was getting lots of feedback from posters) and that Colorado and oregon being top on the list, I believe he is from Colorado. He also wanted a city that was safer.
He also seems to be into weed as he has lots of pictures of plants (I don't know what is legal in OR, if that had an influance on the choice), and talks to posters about the topic, and that wherever they went it needed to have cheaper airfare to Thiland.
I don't use FB for tv shows and such very often, and only went to his page when I saw him reply a few times. There are other people from the show that posts as well.
