Alla and Mathew sure look like the most normal couple!!

Keeping in mind all the scripting and acting up (Anfisa being directed to act up on camera by producers, etc), they sure look like the normal ones:
- Both look/sound mature (unlike say, "Chantel")
- Both seem sincere (her not saying "I love you" just yet does come off out of genuine cultural tradition back east, him being OK with that from the beginning)
- Both seem honest (haven't seen any surprises so far)
- And both have quite attractive in their own ways (him as a financially sound 40 something decent looking "nice guy" without going overboard, her as a reserved beauty with a kid already but at least seems a nice kid).

See where I'm going? If she's for real, he clearly hit jackpot.

I was thinking the very same thing last night while watching.

I really think this one will last and I hope to see more about them in the future. However, as they are pretty normal, is there more to tell?

BTW last week I loved that when he came out into the living room when they were having their "talk about love" notice how she already had a cup of tea ready for him? Also trying to include and have a decent relationship with his mother and siblings....

Its the little things like that to me that speaks volumes. I personally am tired of everyone loving everyone and everything all the time. Talk is cheap, I think she has acted in love ever since she has been here.

They are favorite couple.

Opinions are like armpits: Most everyone has two and they usually stink. But have a great day!!!!!

I think you summed the couples on this show up quite nicely! I was thinking the exact same thing about Matt and Alla. The only thing I found dumb with them was the friend, Patrick, and his "threatening" to object at the wedding. In all the weddings I've ever been to (including my own!), I've never heard the person performing the ceremony ask if anybody objects to the union. Who cares if there's an objection to 2 adults getting married? That was fake and forced and I hated the time spent on that in an otherwise seemingly normal union of 2 people with genuine feelings for each other and the most adult relationship out of any that have been portrayed on this show - both staged and real (although it's hard for me to believe any of them are real, it does seem this one is). I like Matt and Alla (and her little boy Max is super adorable and she seems like a really good mom). They aren't the most dynamic couple since they are so normal, but it's nice to see people who don't compel the watcher to scream at the screen while they are on it.

I have been too many weddings performed by pastors because everyone hired my mom to play the piano at them, and in all the weddings I have been to growing up, the church pastors included that statement in the wedding, however most judicial wedding ones do not ask that question

Just out of curiosity, did you ever see anyone object?

If it were to be asked and someone threatened to object, I'd promptly disinvite them and station my 300 lb, 6'5" brother at the door. Lo and behold, Alla looked so in love that Patrick changed his mind at the last minute. I like that Alla said it would be disrespectful to do to your fiancée's phone what Anfisa did to Jorge.

I don't know why Patrick was even allowed to be at the wedding. I guess the show thought it provided a moment of suspense at the wedding. Pretty fake I think.

That wedding was so fake. Especially how the minister kept asking if anyone objects to the married. Who does that. That long pause was so over the top.
