The way he was so sympathetic to Anfisa's cause and talking to his wife. He seems so much like what they call a cat.

I can see why he was used by his other 3 wives. I wanted to post this for a while, and I'm surprise no one else posted about his comments he was saying to his wife in regards to the troubles of Anfisa.

I swear I can see him easily picking Anfisa as a wife and taking her BS, if he was paired up with her.

First Matt said love is just a word and what matters is how Alla treats him...then 5 minutes later he said "when do you think you will be ready to tell me you love me?" Up until that point I didn't feel sorry for him. Now I do.

That's a good example of his wussiness. I just wished I could recall what he said to Alla in response to Anfisa's pitty fess at the reunion.

I think the one wife that he discovered cheated on him thought he would never catch on that she was cheating. I have a suspicion that the other ones did too, LOL. Plus, I think they are the ones who probably asked for a divorce, since you can pretty much tell Matt anything, and he'll fall for it.
