this was bad

I hope this is not evidence of things to come. The acting was on the same level as son of Batman which was questionable.I wonder what's going on with DC animation right now has there been a change in leadership or writers?

The target audience for this is a lot younger than the usual DC animated film fare.

Younger,I Understand......But To Literally Make A Modern Day Super Friends Without Any Charm Whatsoever ? What The Hell Is The Point ? It's Terrible...Even For Kids.

reply

Unfortunately have to agree. The animation was poor, the plot spent 33% of the movie without the Justice League. Super Friends refferences all over.

Scarily enough it at least had more plot than superman : All Star. That was just a bunch of random things happening.

Thanks for the heads-up. The last couple animations from DC and Marvel have been crap (Son of Batman, Punisher & Black Widow). They've been poorly animated anime style (choppy frame rate) and then dubbed in english with below-average voice acting.

Yeah, Bruce Timm resigned ... then we got this, Flashpoint Paradox, War, Son of Batman and a cartoon based on the Arkham Asylum video game :/

DC animated movies have been mostly a string of embarrassments, but this was one of the worst. Only Brainiac Attacks has been worse of the ones I've seen, and this one just barely beat it.

WB is just wasting everyone's time publishing this garbage. I hardly ever buy anything they release and when I do only when it is very cheap. I usually just wait until I can catch them on TV, but I'm not even sure what's the point of that anymore.

I paid full price for this one because my 5 year old loves Super Friends and this looked like it was targeted at his age, but even he seemed bored with it, and there's no excuse for making a cartoon this bad even if it is for little kids.

I think it's more a shame DC Animated films are going to be pigeonholed out of this style as it's probably only being supported by the group of posters you see around boards like this.
