Spartan Height's shouldn't be taller

Since the Chief was genetically modified during his growth to be as tall as he is, when do officers who were naturally in the 5 feet or low 6 feet able to be modified after the fact and be tall spartans too? For instance, Buck when he was just a regular ODST was only like 6' 2. All the sudden becoming a spartan he grew 7 more inches taller? I don't think my head is on straight. I've confused myself with missing facts or something. Did they genetically modify him after the fact?

Yes there was likely some genetic manipulation or body adjustments (mechanical augmentation surgery, God only knows what else). It's unavoidable when you're dealing with armor like this. I think a book talked about this process but if they have I haven't read it yet.

Ok when u here things like, John 117 is 7 foot 2 or Jeorge in Halo Reach is 7 foot 4 or Sarah Palmer is 6 foot 9, that is there "total height with armor"

The Spartan 4 program did make them taller with surgical enhancements and growth treatments. The armor added the rest.
