Am I the only one?

I'm surprised at how much I like this show. It's not the best show I've ever seen, but I didn't expect to like it this much. I guess I expected more scripted stuff from the WWE, but this looks genuinely real.

Absolutely love this show! Todays episode (the roast) was so touching at the end. Man.

reply

Wow, not what I was expecting. I thought it would come from Roddy, not Pat. I hope Pat can do what he needs to do, I was hoping for it this episode after he started with the whole 'this isn't who I am' stuff.

The one part from the previous episode I just didn't understand is when most of the guys cornered Finkel when they were having dinner and Piper goes nuts over the limo seating from the Chippendale episode. They even said he shouldn't be in house even though he worked for the company for YEARS and STILL WORKING! I felt very bad for poor Fink. I'm sure they did it to toughen him up, but in my opinion they took the wrong approach. Looked more like bullying than motivating.

"Hail to the King, Baby!"

I don't think they said he shouldn't be in the house, only that he shouldn't have been sitting in the King's Seat. The problem is that Duggan (I think) asked Howard to sit there so he didn't have to sit next to the other guys, and he never said anything about that to the guys. So Howard got crap for doing something someone asked him to do.

But I do agree that Roddy got a bit over the top with that. It could have been handled much better. However, Roddy's not known for his tact.

reply

It wasn't just because he sat there. When you sit there, then you're supposed to take on the responsibility of sitting there. So even though he was asked to sit there, because he was there he was supposed to try to smooth things out with the cops. It's like when you sit near the emergency exit on a plane, it's your responsibility and if you can't handle it then you can refuse to sit there.

reply

Well, Piper was a bit upset that Howard sat there in the first place, and to be honest, I can't blame him.

But yes, it was that Howard didn't do anything but wish the officer a good day.

reply

I think Piper was upset at first because he saw it coming knowing Fink's personality.
