She wanted to hide herself. Lori Drew was pretty much run out of the city. It's one thing to know someone's name, but it is entirely different to see them so she's recognized on the street. I don't blame her a bit, particularly given the role she played.

I live in St. Louis (O'Fallon, MO is a western suburb of St. Louis) and remember when this happened. A horribly tragic and completely senseless story. My heart goes out to the Meier family.

I'm glad to hear she was run out of town--and I'm USUALLY not a mean-spirited person. But she's in a category all her own of evil...just pure evil.

I remember when the story first broke, and details started becoming public. I was SHOCKED that a grown woman--a PARENT--had caused the death of a little girl. She had to know that a 13-year-old, especially a girl, is in a very vulnerable emotional and developmental stage. What she did cannot be written off as a harmless prank--not when you consider the age of the target. I remember being 13...though that was a million years ago...and at that age you're so vulnerable to so many things, not the least of which are your raging hormones, issues with your friends, issues with your parents, etc.

SHAME on Lori Drew for what she did.
