You are an idiot. I am from NC too and OF COURSE not everyone acts/talks like this, however, in most rural areas of NC - these types of people are EXACTLY what you will find. There is nothing to be ashamed of and/or disgraced about. Are country folk not people too? How are they any different from you and me? Man, you sound like a real asshat.

I am also from NC originally, and if you drive 10-15 miles outside of any major city you will encounter rednecks and all sorts of eccentric people. I've found this is true all over the US though from many road trips and connecting flights. The first minute of this where they displayed "Maiden NC" I had a laughing fit and knew it was going to be a riot. And, no, I don't smoke either.
