"Terlet"?

Twice now Jake has pronounced "toilet" as "terlet." Which is something old-school New Yorkers (think Archie Bunker) did, but no one mispronounces it like that anymore. And to the best of my Google knowledge, it's not something Chicagoans say.

Is it supposed to be some unnattractive character quirk, or does Ken Marino really pronounce "toilet" "terlet"?
