I absolutely detested the depiction of the 4 riders arriving and murdering the original inhabitants. The exposition they went in to about the kiwi girl and how nice everyone was. Just to be brutally murdered. I liked the movie as a whole but couldn't stomach that part. Glad their gang was wiped out.

You can't have the suspense though of being trapped in an icy hell with an evil monster if you don't show the evil monster doing evil things. It's part of the horror suspense homage he is going with The Thing.

Tough movie to watch. Very violent. Unique movie where all the characters end up dead.
