The daughter....(spoilers )

First of all, she looks older or should I simply say that this young lady was miscast.

Next, her attitude! Since she had an attitude from the beginning, it's hard to tell if it all related to the illness. Either way, I had very little sympathy for the young girl. Granted, I am only 15 minutes in so I realize that things could change.

We'll see...

Ok, 30 minutes in and I seem to be warming to Katie.

I had no sympathy for the mom as well.

Spoilers....

She opts not to tell her husband the truth until after the search. I can understand not telling him about looking for him but she could've at least told him he wasn't the father.

She shows up at the door of her ex but barely explains anything. Instead of saying she was tested, etc, and it's probable he's the father because of that night.

Can anyone think of anything else?

I hated the mother! Regan was still obviously very much in love with Dan/Mason, and didn't love her husband. Why he stayed with her I'll never know.

It was also obvious Dan loved Regan still, not Amelia or whatever.

Did Amelia have the baby at then end? I hope not, I hope it died. She didn't deserve to be stuck with a man who didn't love her and didn't want her child.

Regan was so flirtatious with Dan in the hospital behind her husband's back.

I also thought it sucked that Hugh had to pretend Katie was still his daughter when she really wasn't. I agree with Katie in that only biology matters when it comes to parenthood. She should have started calling her mother's husband Hugh, not dad. He's not her dad.

Movies like this just promote the problem of the world today: lack of honesty and playing games with people's heart is seen as the "norm".

The only part I liked was Katie and Trevor, the boy with cancer. Every one of the adults was disgusting.

@rikajessie:

I normally ignore idiots such as yourself but your horrific comment needs to be addressed.

You would hope a woman would lose her child just because her fiancé may not love her? You would rather a baby die (she looked heavily pregnant, survivable outside the womb) and a women be shattered then just have the man leave? So she couldn't have a baby on her own? And there was ZERO chemistry between any of the actors so I'm not sure how you feel anyone portrayed being in love.

Also, a man who raises a child from birth IS a parent. By your logic an adoptive parent is not a parent. Any child who is adopted should call the people who raise them by their first names only.

You are a sick twisted demented fool.

Sorry, but I don't think it's wrong to wish for a miscarriage on a fictional baby. Do you know how many people wished for Sabrina's baby on General Hospital to die because they didn't like her and Patrick as a couple? Maybe you don't know the characters, but check out any General Hospital message board, or any soap opera message board for that matter and you will see plenty of people wish for the death of a baby they don't think is good for the characters, or story. Are all those people sick, twisted and demented? Fools? I don't think so, because it's fiction. Amelia's baby wasn't real. Amelia isn't real. The story was stupid, Amelia was stupid, Dan was stupid, and I thought the pregnancy was entirely pointless. They never showed anybody interacting with the baby and if it wasn't going to have a purpose in the story, there was no reason for her to be pregnant.

Adoption is different, it's not about deceiving someone. Regan was deceiving her husband the entire time and allowed him to believe that her daughter with another man was his when she knew very well she might not have been. Then she, Dan and Katie expected Hugh to just welcome Dan as Katie's "dad" without a second thought to Hugh's feelings. THAT is why I feel like Katie should have stopped calling him dad. SHE was the one who said that Hugh wasn't her father anymore and seemed to want her biological father more than him, that said biology was all that mattered.

I think it's wrong to lie to people and deceive people like the "heroine" of this movie did. Sorry if you have a problem with that. Maybe you're one of the writers of the movie? Well, sorry, but myself, my sister and a few other people I've talked to on twitter thought the movie sucked. And my sister usually loves Lifetime movies. This one just didn't hit the mark.

And don't bother replying to this with a bunch of hateful accusations and attacks on me as a person since you don't know me from Adam. I won't hesitate to report it as abuse.

OMG On the imdb GH board, there are an abundance of death wishes on children and adults alike, so I am not surprised! hehehe That place is a cesspool. Makes me disgusted that I want to go to a board to discuss a show and all I get are rude, bullying, misogynistic a-holes! I wish there were another GH board for an alternative. I miss mediadomain!

I didn't hate this film; it was kind of silly and devolved into ridiculousness when the whole Wagner deal became part of the story and the ex who was hiding his identity.

Speaking of Dan aka Mason, was he a meth head or something? His chewed haircut and horrible teeth really made me wonder about those choices. I kept thinking my guinea pigs had gone after his hair and left it looking like that. Who actually CHOOSES that haircut???????????

I didn't get that Regan was still in love with her ex!!! Is it possible you're a little jaded because of the way Regan handled things?

Did she handle everything well (big fat no) but ultimately, she wanted to save her daughter and by causing the least amount of pain possible, it wasn't JUST about saving face.

I thought the daughter was a brat. I don't think the fact that she was sick had anything to do with her bratiness.

That kid needed two things: acting lessons for the "actress" playing Katie and empathy. She was whining about her "two dads" (no pun intended Stacy Keenan) when poor Trevor is upchucking his guts and waiting to die all alone in his bed because his parents can't get their act together and care for him (he had 6 siblings or more I think!). Ugh.

I did take more and more to Katie as the film progressed. Quite emotional when the two couples met her on that doorstep.

The daughter looked too much like Kylie Jenner for me to have any sympathy for her!
