There's no Templars there's no ancient Romans. Gold plate is not treasure, it is a few atoms of gold. Copper coins are not treasure. British forces were there as a way station during the Revolutionary War, finding a copper coin from that period is plausible.
you know what's not treasue? Nails, long square head nails.
It's so depressing when they find those...
