Why the inappropriate poster?

This movie is entertaining and captivating, especially because you don't expect, or maybe it is not known, that people from that period in England painted their faces like tribesmen from the jungles in Southeast Asia. Even though dialogue is very limited, you can easily follow the plot. One strange thing that really stands out like a sore thumb is that the advertizing poster is completely wrong and is in no way related to any scene in the movie.
