The script did not derserve such a quality movie

This movie is beautifully shot, has hands down THE best CGI animals I have ever seen, strongly acted and directed.

Why oh why for Ape's sake that the script was so lazy and not tight at all! It's very empty and has no attention to details whatsoever. It's like a script for a B-movie starring Nicholas Cage or something. It's frustrating!

The worst part is that one guard locking himself with the apes for no reason.

reply

Ikr! And no one notices a huge open empty ape jail for like hours?? And the traitor gorilla used a rocket launcher to obliterate a man instead of blowing up the ridiculously vulnerable gas tank??

Who wrote this shit??

reply

Well, it was just a stupid monkey 😉

reply

Yeah, compared to the previous two, this one lacked severely in the writing department.

reply

All I could think while watching it is that it was the best boring movie i've ever seen. So gorgeous.

reply

Looks like the CGI comes first. All their energy and time went into deciding how to render a better fur, what algorithm for the lighting, how to make the most convincing powdery snow, etc. and proceed with them immediately.

Then, and only then, they hastily made up some nonsense story to fit around the already polished CGI scenes.

reply

This movie did it's job of bridging with the original films. But my lord, when that avalanche came down to just erase the other army away, I think that's the hardest I laughed at a movie since the first Dumb and Dumber. Symbolic of the whole screenplay.

reply

any movie starring Nic Cage CANNOT be a b-movie

reply

They are! Capital B for Brutally-badass-bae-movie!

reply

I Thought it was well written. A lot of the things dont appear on the surface.

reply

Agreed.

reply

It was. These people are just angry morons.
