If you've ever experienced the unbearable sorrow and utter pain of heartbreak from having someone die on you...then this movie will be a source of comfort and hope. Watch it.

If you're an uptight Cannes critic...who has no soul...has battery acid or rancid milk running in his/her veins...and certainly has never been stripped of sense-of-self when a most beloved friend or family member passes away...causing you to genuinely believe "I don't think I can live without her"...?...

Well...then I guess your callous, uncaring and shallow self can let out a hipster "boo" at Cannes.

The Cannes Critics are creeps. SEA of TREES is most tender and worthwhile to watch. Especially good/great acting performances.

BTW: I enjoyed reading an earlier thread on this board that listed all of the Cannes Critics' negative twitters, especially Scott Foundas. So I looked Scott up. Wow...the dude just LOOKS like a creepy negative guy. And he's head of Amazon's film acquisitions? Jeff Bezos, that's just plain MESSED UP, brah... Bad move, Bezos...
