Weird last episode

I have enjoyed the second series, but the last episode was kind of dark and disturbing, anyone agree? It didn't feel the same as the rest of the series.

Agreed, this was probably my least favorite of the second series. I am fine with dark humor, but this was more like a weird Inside No. 9 or something. It turned from comedy to incest in a hurry.

I agree, I think it was utterly bizarre. A story including sibling incest and a graphic suicide, was beyond dark humour. If there's a third series, where can they go after that? Having Dan and Hannah getting it on?

Did you see the series 1 finale. Remember that? It was at the funeral and all the craziness that ensued including finding out that Hannah's first kiss with Adam Piper that she fantasized about actually ended up being with her Brother Dan. Add to that all the Legend of the Dan stuff. It wasn't as dark as this episode but it was also crazier than the rest of the season.

This entire show (both seasons) is on the dark side of comedy. Certainly suicide is taking it all to a darker level but the things they do every episode range from somewhat dark to super dark. Heck Hannah getting so excited about firing people and dropping everything to move to America only to screw it up by trying to drug a kid to sleep is the same kind of thing. Really though, with the deal for the new Mercedes, it wasn't a huge surprise to me that something was going to happen to ruin it... I didn't expect what happened as usually they screw up their own winning moments in life, but I couldn't imagine a way where she was actually going to get that Mercedes.

It was weird, but I still found it hilarious.

If you've seen its always sunny (discussed elsewhere on this forum) you'll see that it was obviously the inspiration for this show and often goes a lot further. The incest vibe is even more pronounced too
