Why are there so much of Indian movies rated so high?

I'm also skeptical about the ratings of indian films. It looks to me that only patriotic indians rank these films on imdb. Ratings, for example, for korean, russian or iranian films are normally fair enough, but estimations of indian movies always look untrustworthy.

Its because people here are used to watching mediocre to garbage flicks. And when they see some kind of biography they just jump on to rate it high and satisfy themselves by saying they have watched something thats not form the above mentioned genre.

Moreover I doubt that there are a lot of non indians watching bollywood movies. So the ratings are always biased.

The same is not true for korean/japanese movies which have a higher number of non native viewers comparatively.
