what kind of message is this for the weak minded??

Just asking for another mass shooting spree and the film makers can claim no responsibility. Funny world.

I think audiences will realize that just like the first one, this is just a movie. How many shootings have occurred in the name of Uwe Boll since 2009?

reply

The guy actually mentions gun control in the film and how ridiculous it is on how easy it is to get guns. He claims the number of shootings in UK is so far below the US.

The UK is a tiny island (yeah, the rate is proportionally still lower, but the UK is also a crappy island, if they had guns they would all shoot themselves and the tax collection would drop to 0). Not sure what the real message of the movie is, "kill everyone" is good enough for me

No we're not crap, moron, but an island which gave you the ENGLISH language and a huge number of it's city names. Also we had an Empire (the US never has/will) and one of only five permanent members of the UN!

The fascistically blinkered US is part of a huge 'crap' continent.

And, we do have gun crime, d1ckhead. Go back to school....

The size of a country is not the most important, I am from France and I don't think that England is "a tiny island" but a great country that has been demonstrating her relevance to the world for centuries. I agree with your comment. These remarks about the size don't matter. It is the same for my own country. We have a long and rich history and it's so easy to be contemptuous. By the way, about guns I think Bill is right. Of course his ways are unacceptable and I don't support his terrible, criminal actions.

The film didn't have any kind of positive message. It was pretty bleak and having the nut case escape a second time didn't help. He should have paid for what he did.

reply

There is a positive message but it's hidden within the sub-context.

I believe it's "OPEN YOUR EYES"!

A lot of what the movie depicts is true. Most people let a lot of things go just so they can live the little suburban lifestyle. A lot of people don't have the courage to change what is wrong with the world. The poor/middle class out populate the rich yet the rich people control the world. Much is true yet much is exaggerated.

I admit... it's much easier to just live in the bubble. You hear things everyday that might give you a little outrage but yet do nothing about it.

The change must come from within but it won't...that's why this movie exists. It's a metaphor for how we would need to be in order for true change.(although we aren't given a real solution because there is none)

Things have not changed in hundreds of years and while a lot of things get better, some things get worse. Healthcare in the US sucks...there's way too many poor people....homeless people. Lots of bad things...not just here in the US but everywhere. If I thought it would change, I'd be the first to admit it.

It's saying hey.. look at what all those elitists do... to affect the way of our world.. as we all must endure.

Well hey look... I am killing all these people, taking them outside of that system, only affecting the loved ones of their lives directly....

but hey... look... we are still living in the conditions of the world that the elitists enforce.

Go on going on... or go on.. the way I am.

reply

Actually..... that's a good way of looking at it as well.

Killing the people that he has killed made no difference at all.

In fact it made other people a lot of money, lol. The station guy said his ratings were the highest ever.

reply

It would have made more sense if he was killing lawyers, corrupt cops, bankers and the rich in general. Killing the sheep will do nothing as you say. Kill the people with power that are the cause of the problem.

reply

This was my main problem too. He doesn't go after the elite and rich 1% he rambles on and on and on and on about in his videos. He attacks low level local news anchors, and talks trash to a homeless man about his friend dying. Are these the people in power he talked about? No. Are these the rich who are paying off those in power? No. Are these the people deciding what the media will/won't show? No. These are the people with no power over that kind of thing, who just report what the upper brass tells them to (who are really the people he should be going after). Essentially he killed the very people he claimed to want to help.

The cover makes it seem like he went to Washington DC & got even with a bunch of evil bankers or politicians. Which is not at all what happened...

reply

I agree he should've taken his anger out on the 1%. Those yuppy bastards deserve to die. 6/10

The irony of this film is that I find myself agreeing with his rants. I'm left feeling its a shame that such a powerful indictment is in such a film and being spoken by this type of character. There is nothing sympathetic about the character until he describes the way of the world, whilst I would disagree with some parts of that, I'd vote for any party willing to end the wrongs of the past. Just not by killing please, no need for violence.

reply

I agree. Uwe kinda goes after the elite with Assault on Wall Street, but the main beef with the rampage dude is overpopulation; he's just really an avatar for Uwe himself though, were he gets to talk about his obsessions with corruption, atheism, violent outsiders, class warfare, economics, and other things I may be missing (themes and ideas that he has worked with since German Fried Movie). Ultimately a problem, since not every one of his obsessions is given proper exploration in this film.

reply

Agreed. Watching this film I was wondering why Bill would kill these middle-class people instead of some super rich a$$holes. I don't support that in any way of course but it would have been more accurate and closer to his statement. Instead of that, he kills anonymous people on the street. What the heck?

This is art(use that loosely) imitating life. The tea party,OWS,etc movements and the rise of anti-government militias like sovereign citizens. Everyone knows who is running the show. Government are 100$ run by corporations and the wealthy. Plenty of studies have show that Americans have 0% and all law were influenced by the wealthy.

The bourgeoisie will always choose comfort over reality.

No matter what their professed values are, no matter how noble and caring they say they are about those less fortunate than they, when push comes to shove, they will never, EVER, willingly give up what makes THEM(middle class) comfortable to insure that others enjoy a decent standard of living.
