The Statistics

I wonder how correct his statistics are in the movie - how realistic they are. I like a movie like this, that makes one wonder about it in the real world!

I went back and compared the numbers, predicated on your comment. And yes, it's pretty accurate. In those instances, to quote the onlooking (and obviously shameful) station producer, 'He's fvcking right.'

Unless, of course, you're one of those people who decides that both qualitative and quantitative research doesn't mean anything. I hope for your sake that's not the case.

His stats were pretty correct. However I don't see how taking out a tiny little local news station is going to have any impact. He whines and whines about the 1% and the elite/rich, then shoots random people, talks down to the homeless, and blows up the local news station as if anyone there has any power over anything.

It's just such a mess compared to the 1st one, which had very clear cut ideas. They were so muddled here I was never sure what his point really was. He says one thing then acts on another, which is the apex of piss poor writing...

There is an intelligent movie waiting to be made about abusive government policies and the corruption that has occurred the past 15 or so years, but Rampage and Assault on Wall Street are not it.

The prison stats are dead on as well as the reason for the huge prison population in this soon-to-be third world country.

I can't remember if he said there are 19,000 gun murders, or gun deaths in the u.s., but I know there were around 36,000 gun deaths in the u.s. last year. This was a well written script, though. So, I'm sure it was well researched.

Yeah-Boll deserves quite a bit of detesting for much of his work, it having not been through through well enough. Not the case here. It's nice that he's got what's clearly a passion project.

reply

Passion as a substitute for facts, logic and reason. He's allowed to lie in the name of passion, just like all liberals.

This. I really like Uwe, but his anti-wealth revenge porn films are very weak and immature. A black comedy like Postal is a much better vehicle for his anti-establishment message and in Postal he skewered everybody and not just the rich, white and wealthy. His recent stuff just comes off as the typical MSNBC garbage we've all heard a thousand times.

Well like most guillible people you don't realize that those numbers are distorted. A majority of those deaths are suicides, not gun crimes. But that's exactly why the media post numbers like this, because people like Uwe Boll and yourself fall for it everytime.

The movie also fails to mention that the parts of the country with the most gun control have the most gun crimes.

He also goes on to mention Britain as being so much safer than America because of its stringent gun control while disregarding pretty major factors when you're comparing country to country...

Gun murder is around 11,000 where as gun suicide is around 19,000 per year.
