Better than i was expecting from the reviews

I just started watching EWW the other day out of boredom. Wasn't expecting much from the reviews I've read, but am actually really liking it. i'm only a few episodes in, but so far this blows Wizards of Waverly Place out of the water.

I find laugh tracks incredibly annoying, so the fact that EWW doesn't have one is refreshing to say the least. One review I read said that the show focused too much on Maddie's superficiality. While I'll be the first to admit that she was kind of one-dimensional in season one, the development she got in S2 after she lost her powers more than make up for it. One reviewer couldn't seem to find anything to complain about except the fact that there were white antagonists and that the show "vilifies" white people.

You seem as if you have an axe to grind against a show that doesn't have shaky cam, weird background music, and a laugh track to tell you when to control your weak emotions.

That's just an observation.

Here's what I like and this will sound kind of simplistic to you advanced "film" types.
1. There's no shaky cam. I don't have ADHD so I don't need a constant moving camera image to keep my attention.
2. No stupid constant background music, the the reasoning in #1.
3. No laugh track, also see #1 above.

I like that and it remindes me of some Aussie shows that I used to get in NYC back in the late 1980's / early 1990's. Before Law And Order with it's shaky cam became what paid the bills.

4. The grills are really cute too, if only they were older or I was younger.

Check out Danger 5 for some funny Aussie stuff, even us Americans know about some of these cool Aussie shows.

I'm older than the target audience. I had watched a few episodes of the original show "Graci". The show is corny but comforting and entertaining. You guys should check out "Hollywood Heights" based on the Spanish Soap "La Una Estrella".

"Hollywood Heights" is on the Teen nick site I think. It's one long season from 2012.

Check out "Hollywood Knights," I won tickets to that once from some radio show. That was a funny movie.
