Okay, we get it. SPOILERS

Eve doesn't exist. You don't have to give us a hint every five minutes.

It's a 'twist' that detracts from the story. It would have been a better movie if there had in fact been two women and they actually helped one-another rather than Eve just enabling Lila. It turns what could be an interesting story into a gimmick-reliant one.

Davis carries the movie well but ultimately this element brought it down.

I understand what you're saying, however, I wouldn't say this element "brought down" the movie. I think this twist was very unexpected, considering the genre and the movie's plot. We're tired of seeing this sort of twist in the horror and thriller genres but for this one, I thought it kind of worked.

Unfortunately, I picked up on it very quickly based on the heavy "one-sided" interaction of the two women. I said to my spouse, "This sure seems to have a Fight Club vibe." But it wasn't nearly as good.

Unexpected? I called it 10 min into the movie. It was so obvious. I compeltely agree it would've been way better if she were real.

10 minutes? I'm calling BS. Viola Davis and J-Lo have only had one brief interaction at that point in the film. If you're a "Flight Club" fan, you definitely notice the imaginary friend angle early on because it mirrors the setup of the Ed Norton/Brad Pitt relationship very closely, but it's more like 30 minutes. Not 10.
