so much cringe

Starting the film right with the murder was a cheap way to get attention (with a bang) but without any buildup or context, it didn't have much emotional impact.

Why do we shown so little about Stephon, and his relationships with his family, as well aside from the fact that he was a good kid and he liked Xbox (product placement)?

Also, why ham up all sad scenes, if the film is just going to have so many corny jokes and try to be a weird action movie half the time?

Cliche split personality killer plot twist. I didn't see it coming but when it did, I said "oh... this again". Movies like Shutter Island at least had a unique take on the common trope, but this movie just expects this to be a big trope.
