Are we supposed to believe that... (SPOILERS)

There wasn't ANY evidence that could incriminate Lila? She wasn't super careful or trying to cover any trace. They could have easily found fingerprints on Alonzo's girlfriend house, a door handle or something.

And I know the police didn't found any evidence but how could she have gotten away with all those murders just because she had alibis from the women of the group even if it was so damn obvious that she did everything/confessed to the detective?

This is the type of story that isn't, in my mind, intended to be analyzed that closely. The intent was to show that, even though hunting down and killing bad guys is illegal, somehow she would get away with it. Thus the several in the support group willing to witness that Lila was with them each time a person was murdered. So the cop resigns to the fact, he is pretty sure she is guilty but also realizes that it probably isn't worth pursuing, especially since all the dead guys were crooks.

This is a fictional story, in real life it probably wouldn't be as easy.

If cops can kill people on video and get away with it in real life, I don't think it's too far fetched that Viola Davis could get away with murder in a movie.

Come on now. How are you going discredit the star of How to get away with murder. J/K but she had on gloves when she went in his house

Yes logic doesn't help this story at the end. We don't know all the evidence but there could be some, and for the policeman to just accept those sudden alibis is a joke of sorts. Those women would have to commit perjury in a trial. Would they? To help a murderer? I doubt it. And so the cop is willing to let her go free? She had a mental problem, really, and could have killed again under stress, in the future. We are supposed to believe he didn't think of that....

I didn't see her as a "murderer" but rather someone taking out the trash.
Every one of them had it coming.
Her mental problem was cured after those responsible for her son's death were eliminated.

reply

the detective probably wanted those gang members killed, and found it easier to blame the murderer on other gang members.
