Ha! Well, I wouldn't go as far as the ending there... but, yes, good for you for correcting this. I feel like we generally overlook these things in informal writing that mistakes become second nature. It IS should've/should have. AN ALL TOO COMMON MISTAKE.

I agree, Jennifer Aniston did an amazing job with this role. You can't blame the actor or actress for a story that you dislike or don't think is ethical. There have been several movies with some of my favorite actors playing roles that they made the best of, even if I hated the movie itself or was offended by its content. As a liberal, I am rarely offended by content, but hate to see great actors misdirected in what could be incredible roles. To me this was an incredible role for Aniston. She finally isn't playing the typical Racheal character that everyone expects from Aniston.

I see a lot of reviews that make Aniston out to be the "bad guy", when in fact it was probably her greatest performance of her career, but I thought the movie could have been captured a little better on film compared to the book. This is usually the case with many books made into movies, they loose a lot of the original greatness that the book often offers.

I beg to disagree, it seem quite forced with heavy makeup and addicted depressed character like this automatically equal good acting. I think she was much better in The Good Girl which was probably her peak performance.

Cake is a ripoff of Chrystal (2004) with Lisa Blount and Billy Bob Thornton. If you want to see an amazing performance, watch Chrystal.
