My Theory on Ben and Mal

I think Ben was starting to fall for Mal as soon as he saw her. Audrey and Ben were probably betrothed by their parents like Aurora was put with Prince Phillip. So they were expected to be together. Of course, Belle noticed Audrey was being a little snot as she grew up but she didn't know what to do.

Actually Ben fall in love with Mal before he even knew who she was. He had dreams about her and mal had dreams about him.
