At first I didn't like his casting, wanted The Mandarin to stay as an Asian, but after IM3 and this short, I love Kingsley in the Mandarin persona. I want it to eventually turn out that this was a double twist, that 'Trevor' really is the Mandarin and the events of this short were all a plot engineered by him to escape.
If he's not going to get the role, then I would either like it to be Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa for an older Mandarin, Robin Shou for a middle aged one or Byron Mann as a younger one (late 20's to early 30's).
I personally don't like the idea of someone like Chow Yun Fat or other extremely famous Asian actors getting it as their fame makes them far too recognizable, it takes something away from the characters. I'd prefer excellent actors who aren't quite as recognizable.
An actor of East Asian Descent Byron Mann(I thought he kinda looked like the Mandarin on Arrow) Byung Hun Lee(Seems like a cliche choice but still) Rick Yune(I could see him as a younger Mandarin) Ian Anthony Dale(I too could have seen him as a younger Mandarin too) Daniel Dae Kim Robin Shou Mark Dacascos Tsuyoshi Ihara
