Broadchurch and Gracepoint

I think David Tennant's southernish American accent was really well done in Gracepoint, but overall I like Broadchurch a lot better. Overall, the acting was a lot better and even though the plots are pretty much the same I found Broadchurch a lot more intense, exciting, and believable to watch. I think this is another case where 'Hollywood' does a poor job mimicking an excellent BBC series. And just for reference I live in the states and had no trouble with understanding accents on Broadchurch (however the majority of tv shows I watch are BBC).

Gracepoint is below average for me. As for Broadchurch, season 1 deserves all the adoration and acclaim it garners, but season 2 is Gracepoint level. And that's not good.

I've never seen this but if Broadchurch is the better then this must be quite a bad show because Broadchurch is quite bad especially seasons 2 & 3. I hate the characters, the inconsistency of them, and the plot is all over the place. Also of the actors are quite atrocious. Tenant deserved better.

All three seasons of "Broadchurch" are excellent, but "Gracepoint" is a disappointing weaker copy. Since the original was in English and could have been shown in the U.S., it seems pointless.
