Huge disappointment.

My husband and I went to see this movie yesterday afternoon and I had high hopes of a great laugh after seeing it previewed on Graham Norton where he raved about how fantastic it was.

HUGE disappointment. Massive.

Nearly two hours of my life and quite a few $$ I'll never get back.

The storyline was so weak, as was the humour (and I'm fairly easily amused) and I soon got sick of hearing *beep* every second word.

As for Mr Wang - racist anyone? Just every so slightly!

Bloody awful movie. Let's hope mention on here of a sequel is just a joke.

I think that's an understatement to be honest.
I too had seen Graham Norton and had high hopes for this. I love the show, but it does not translate to film AT ALL! When it is half hour and filmed in front of an audience on a simple set, it works. Take the audience away, take the sets away, stretch a 30 minute story to 90 minutes and you get an extremely disappointing film. They even tried to insert some 'outtakes' into the film but it just did not work.
It wasn't all bad, there was some great laughs in there but it needed a lot more than that to save it. It didn't help that so many jokes were in the trailer either.

I have to agree, this film was awful. I really like the TV series, but the film just didn't work at all - it wasn't funny (I laughed once, at the Google joke), it doesn't work when it breaks the fourth wall (I don't know why, because this works great on the TV program, but things like the Russian corpsing, or the chipshop joke with the actress who played the woman on the reception desk, or Mrs Brown's face when Winnie suggests that Mrs Brown should dress like a man), the story was weak and stupid (and doesn't even carry convicton, as at the end of it the criminals could still use illegal means to achieve their aims), the characters were often more racist-offensive than acceptable, and even the regular characters sometimes seemed shoe-horned in just for the sake of having all of the TV regulars appear in the film.

I can re-watch the TV series and enjoy it, but I won't be watching this film again.

I hate to say it. But I'm joining the ranks of the disappointment club. Love the show the move was at best so so.

Have to agree, the movie was awful. Stick to the shows much better.
