Someone please tell me who the 6 children are before I go insane!!!

Simon is the 6th one. Played by buster in the original series.

The character of Buster is Dermot's mate and NOT one of Mrs. Brown's six kids - which are...

1. CATHY - her one-and-only-daughter and sparring-partner...

AND her "boys" who all appear in the stage-shows/TV-series/Movie(s)...
2. RORY - the gaytastic "special" one...
3. MARK - the "sensible" one...
4. TREVOR - the priest and therefore "saintly" one...
5. DERMOT - the led-astray-by-Buster "foolish" one...

PLUS...
6. SIMON - the "prodical" one who she includes in all her mentions of having "six" children but only majorly featured in the original series of novels/books ("The Mammy"/"The Chisslers"/"The Granny") on which much of the "Mrs. Brown" folklore/history is based. In said books, Simon if-i-recall-right, headed off to find his own way in the world only to die a sad and lonely death homeless on the streets of London (and so is "gone but very much not forgotten" in Mrs. brown's eyes and heart!).

Wish I could +1 this post.

You are thinking of Frankie. He was the son who died and is never mentioned. Simon was Dermot's twin. In the books & film she had 7 children.

The 6th child is Simon. In The Original Series he was only in the first 2 episodes - the Last Wedding pts 1 & 2 and was played by Danny O'Carroll (Buster Brady). He wears a hearing aid, has a bad stutter and works as a porter at the local hospital.
Buster doesn't appear until episode 3.
also in the first 2 episodes Dermot is played by a different actor and Paddy Houlihan plays Trevor.
