Ah, okay. I just finished.

--Vicky has her baby early due to having appendicitis. Chris confesses he's married but it was a sham marriage to a Gambian because, when younger, he was desperate for dosh, and now even after trying very hard, he cannot find her to get a divorce; but he loves Vickey and proposed to her after their healthy son was born premie.

--The Bank Robber With A Heart went down for 10 months. The house is up for sale by the bank but Diane is going to "fight it!" as she tells her mum. With what? She's skint. Oh well.

--Simon has a surprise birthday party for Roanna with the whole crew round to his mum's, minus Rick who is banged up. Si manages to get the painting back from her ex's house with the help of her son, and she's thrilled with the prezzie. Roanna also mentions to Simon that things are thawing with her two older kids.

--In a shocker sometime later, Roanna is coming out of the loo at the parents' house and dad played by Neil Pearson meets her in the hallway with a birthday prezzie, some expensive perfume. Roanna fixes him with a stare and says: "I don't wear that perfume anymore Jonathan..." YIKES! She's got form with the dad pre-Simon!!! There is no end to our Roanna's goings on.

--Rosie sleeps with Jude at his dad's place, angering his dad (who is irate they aren't using protection AGAIN) and Kim. Kim takes Rosie to the pharmacy to get a morning after pill, but Rosie puts off taking it at the pharmacy, saying she wants water with it. We later see Rosie smiling as she flushes the pills down the toilet. She's clearly trying for another baby with Jude. She also tells Kim birth control pills are out of the question because her mom had breast cancer. Maybe so, she it's clear she wants to keep on having bairn and doesn't want protection.

The subtext I got from this turn of events is that Rosie is not necessarily what she seemed (the total innocent caught up in life). The subtext might be that Rosie wants Jude to marry her (her dad isn't going to be fine for a long time if ever, so she cannot go home), and pumping more and more kids is one way she's going to try to force the issue.

In Ep 6 we saw other revelations (like Roanna and Simon's dad). So this reveal that Rosie is trying for another baby right away casts doubt on just how 'innocent' Rosie was from the beginning in this scenario. Was it always something she's done on purpose, hoping she'd get pregnant? Her continual refusals to go back to school from the off makes me suspect she always was planning to get pregnant asap with somebody and Jude was the unlucky dupe. And she's carrying on her gambit.

--Poor Dev. Accidentlly leaves the baby in the van when he goes into grocery shop for the still-bitchy Jasmine, who is at home. Crowds gather, a security man breaks the window and everybody takes photos, so it ends up in the local paper that night. Jasmine is irate. Dev's in the poo (again). And the last scene with them, social services are at the house to investigate and there's trouble. Oh dear.

--There's a back and forth for Kim and Susie, but eventually Susie makes up with Jude and welcomes Jude and Rosie and baby back into her house--because Jude won't stay at his dad's without Rosie and baby. It's either he knows he's going to get regular sex now or he loves them--hard to know at his age. Kim supports that because dad is at his wit's end with the kids having it off without protection and he's feeling helpless to stop this train wreck.

Kim and Susie have backs and forths, and then Kim decides to take the baby back to dad's to live (because Susie says she saw them in the birthing pool and saw how much they love each other); HOWEVER, Dad and the tart from work, Caroline, show up at his flat having a grand time having been out on a date (it seemed like a date). Kim sees it's a problem and just leaves.

So the final bit is Kim writing in her blog all about how messy babies and life are. And we can kind of surmise she's now a single mother alone with her baby having burned her bridges with Susie. Then the blog says THE END.

CUE........SERIES TWO. The follow up? If the ratings were good and the actresses are game, it seems as though there could be a second series.

Though perhaps the more likely concept for Series 2 is 6 new women and they leave these women where we saw them last. Dunno.

Thank you!!!! Feel sorry for Susie think she was my favourite.

If Jude was my son I would want him to get a job and support Rosie and his child. And pay rent. Living rent free with no concept of being broke or working is never going to make him realise the hard reality of raising kids and making a living

I'm not sure how old Jude was but at 16 Rosie will qualify for her own home, full benefits, and every other benefit that exists and she'll be fully supported by the state (and we saw her already on the way to a second baby on purpose--so that means an even bigger council flat of course--more kids equals ever bigger house paid for by the local council).

Unless the parents wise up and get Jude away from her, he'll not be headed anywhere near uni and will end up living in the council flat unemployed or doing minimum wage with Jude and their ever growing brood (he will need to be undeclared in the home though, as they'd reduce her benefits with a man living there).

Unless the parents get their acts together and get him to America for university or something and away from the baby factory conniver, poor Jude (not the sharpest knife in the drawer anyway) is doomed. HAHA

I see his future as the hapless partner of one of whose benefits "scroungers" on the "Saints and Scroungers" on the BBC when Rosie is unmasked at 35 as having 4 council homes in different names and renting all the unused ones out, and collecting child benefits in 8 names in 8 different councils! It's a dead cert.

Depends on the university! haha

Okay then. Australia.

Was just coming up with somewhere inaccessible by a cheap flight or short train ride. Guess the Sorbonne is out.
