Season 3?

Any word on season 3?

reply

I certainly hope so. There's very little good clean comedy about; shows like this tick all my boxes.

David Jason said way back in January that a third series of Still Open All Hours was on the cards.

Today (12th September 2016) the BBC have officially confirmed that a third series will be made and released some more details.

Still Open All Hours will return for a Christmas Special which will then be followed by the third series.

It has been confirmed that Lynda Baron aka Nurse Gladys Emmanuel will not appear in series 3 due to a schedule clash.

The show is THE most watched comedy series on British television.

I'm pretty sure I read Lynda Baron is going back into EastEnders for a bit. That's why she can't do this series of Still Open All Hours.

It never will be the same without Ronnie Barker but at least it has its original writer and most of the cast (Granville, Mavis, Mrs Featherstone and until now, Nurse Gladys). And some of the new characters fit in OK.

with nurse not turning up maybe they should think about a total new back up cast except for the son and the girlfriend. there are a lot more talented actors then the rest of the what they currently have!
