Major Ptothole, But I Loved the Movie.

It's rare to find Indian cinema making products for the thinking Man. This Movie had me thinking in all directions. How the Police System Exploits a Common man rather than protect him. The ending was a Masterpiece. I can go on and on and on with praise for this Movie, But all this thinking made me find a gaping plot hole in this Movie.

The Police could have easily tracked down the Mobile Shop from where the Male Lead did his Shopping. His Testimony would be enough to crack open the Case Open and the entire fortress of lies would be demolished in one go.

I would love to hear back from you guys.

Do you mean by tracking the call that came when he was in the mobile shop? I doubt that tracking tech is accurate enough to lead to a small shop. I could be wrong though.

On a different note, I thought George Kutty could have simply destroyed the sim instead of taking the risk to insert it in a phone.

Well, he knew the phone's last call was in the vicinity of his home. That's why he wanted the sim card placed into another active cell, so it would be traced to other locations far afield.

Police can only track the sim card. It only shows the tower location. Actual location of the mobile ( in this case , the mobile shop) can be tracked only during live conversation. Since the police didnt track it when the lady police made the call, its hard to connect the suspect to any particular location.
