Once and forall..Is the squirrel vs nut thing funny or annoying

Even as a kid the age old gag of some cartoon character trying to eat something and always having it slip away was never..never funny to me..Ok ice age stole this theme from as far back as steam boat mickey(1930'S for those who don't know)...Which is very poor writing..Even then it was not funny...So sound off is the squirrel chasing but never eating the nut funny or annoying...are you like me and sayinmg just let him eat the damn nut and move on....

Just like the minions, it was okay in small doses when it was new. I personally didn't like the Scrat scenes that much anymore after the second movie.

Loved Scrat in the first movie. He only appeared when necessary, and always got a laugh. Scrat in 2 was even better, and they did really clever stuff with him. In 3, they were clearly running out of ideas for him and threw in a love interest to combat his love for the nut. His scenes in 4 were an improvement, but nowhere near as good as the first two. This one though, they do to Scrat what Hollywood always does when they're scraping the bottom of the barrel......they throw him into space. As much as I love Scrat, the charm is gone

Annoying to me from the get go - and in Collision Course just too far - I mean, piloting a flying saucer? Other than that I thought this movie was great though - visually sumptuous and fun. And I didn't know (and wouldn't care anyway) about all the supposed ripped-off scenes from other movies.
