What I don't understand...

I read the biography Every Love Story Is A Ghost Story. And at the end his wife says David went to a chiropractor on a Monday or Wednesday. I forget what day she said. He killed himself on a Friday. So, what she said was you don't go to a chiropractor on a Wednesday if you plan on killing yourself on a Friday.

That comment didn't make sense to me because wouldn't you want to to see a chiropractor if you planned on hanging yourself? it just seemed like an obvious red flag to me.
