Painful to watch

Good grief.

Did anybody bother to read the book before making this film???

What is this? If I would have spent money to see this, I would have been so angry.

I agree. I actually really liked the first one (gave it an 8) and thought the sequel was decent (gave it a 7), but this one is completely unwatchable. In fact, I couldn't even finish the movie it was so bad. Huge disappointment.

Dunno about the books, I like real science fiction, like Clarke, Asimov (and dozens of contemporary authors, just not this kind of made-up nonsense; such as the Hunger Games *cringe*) and to me it seemed like the first one was (really) excellent, except for Ashley Judd (Jesus Christ) and actually everything about that plot-line and then when the second movie came along, I just facepalmed (like, at the whole thing). The third one, apart from needing to napalm the entire CGI team and some of the weaker plot-points, is great! IDK., love the film! :)

I didn't care about the plot most of the time - I think it's asking too much from this kind of movie. It has probably the most idiotic death scene I have seen in some time, but the scifi part of it is great and the final action scene is pretty good. It's too bad that its not having a cinematic sequel. The cgi is pretty bad, but the team had only six months to make it (if the IMDb info is right)... it's not sufficient time!
