am i the only one who find it more interesting than the previous ones??

I didn't.t like the first and second one I found them way predictable and action doesnot have real consequences but in this one plot was more interesting with a bit of intrigue.

I thought the first had clear flaws, but was building to something. The second movie completely crapped on that with meaningless action and no plot development. It was so bad that I couldn't imagine what people saw in the books and I decided I was done with the series.

But then against my judgment I saw Allegiant, and it's a lot better. It has problems too, but a lot of that can be seen as the limits of a movie adaptation rather than serious flaws with the underlying story. It even fixes many of the gaps of Divergent.

So after being so annoyed at Insurgent I was ready to burn them all, I'd actually recommend Divergent and Allegiant. Just skip the garbage in the middle.

Exactly my opinion, almost to the letter (hehe). Thanks for sharing!..:)

I loved Divergent, like other people have said here I was a bit disappointed by Insurgent. There wasn't really anything particularly wrong with it, I just think it suffered compared to Divergent because Divergent was so good, it was hard to follow it up.

I agree that Allegiant though still not as good as Divergent was an improvement on Insurgent (except those awful orange blobs when they are first found outside the wall).

I must admit I am gutted that Ascendant has been canned (or is now a TV movie, still not really sure what that means, other than it will be shorter, with less effects and possibly difficult to get hold off).

Even if it gets made, it may as well not be as I believe Theo James is no longer involved. It won’t be the same without one of the two leads, who will have to be written out, which will spoil the story for me. The other option is Four being played by someone else but I think that will be weird and I struggle to see how that can work.

I know there have been some critical reviews but there are also a lot of fans that have enjoyed the series. Very rarely is a film or set of films liked by everyone. Plot holes is a common complaint, which whilst I can see the points being made I don’t watch films for their factual and realistic accuracy.

I did read about rumours this is all an elaborate ploy to generate publicity and interest, as the last film performed poorly. Seems unlikely but I live in hope. Even if the follow up parts haven't been as good as Divergent, they have still been enjoyable watches and I feel frustrated and sad that the franchise isn’t going to get the proper finale it deserves.

You are not alone. I just saw this on HBO, and consider it better than the first two.

The first one was a rip off on Hunger Games, and the second one was so bad with her hanging from the ceiling, I could never finish it.

This one had some editing issues, and continuity problems, but at least it was visually stimulating, and had a decent plot.

I agree with you....this was the best of the three.

I think it was MUCH better. How it is rated less than a 6 beats me. I give it an 8. I could see a 7, but a less than 6?

The first two were way more confusing and Shailene was extra annoying.

This one definitly had the best plot of the three. The storyline was actually interesting as opposed to the other 2. Lots of problems still but an ok movie to watch as a stand alone flick.

Hated the first two, I actually liked part 3..........!

Agree 100%.
Very enjoyable film for me - fantastic visuals, great entertainment with 2 wonderful leads.
If a few plot holes were a problem, then we'd never enter movie theaters - ever!

Good post, shailendrach!
