The gang members who want the boy to be safe

Instead of getting on the doctor's case about the child, why not have some of their own people watch him 24 hours a day? It is ridiculous that they think the doctor should know what is happening to him at all times. He doesn't even work at that hospital. Word on the street got out that Atoine (the child) is missing, so they killed a rival gang member, but they can't just watch the kid while he is in the hospital to make sure he is okay? This just makes no sense.

If it made sense there wouldn't be a show. Writers do all kinds of stupid things for the sake of drama.

This show is built on zero common sense. The implausibilities are staggering and this show should be used in a teaching class on how to do everything wrong. What a joke.

Are you kidding me? The surgical hospital is in Loco territory. Did you even watch the show?

The Doctor made an quick decision, it worked but at the same time it backfired.

Who besides the boy's legal guardian is going to be allowed to stay with him for 24 hours a day at the hosptial (past visiting hours)? The dad is in a jail, who is the legal guardian? Mom? Grandma? Some other relative? Is he in foster care? I highly doubt that Darius or one of the other gang members is the boy's legal guardian. The gang could watch the parking lot at night, but there are multiple ways in and out of the hospital. If you really think about it, the doctor who has complete access to the hospital at all times being responsible is actually the smart choice.

TV shows would like you to believe the old rule of visiting hours being enforced. Hospitals are very busy places, even at night, with lots of people hanging around. Gang members would have no trouble guarding the kid.

I think of it like this….just as anyone else exercising authority; Darius is in control and assigned John a task. Darius delegated the responsibility of Antoine’s wellbeing to him so John has to figure out how to keep the child safe. The issue is no longer his problem. He and his crew have gangbanging to do.

Only watched the double pilot. Odd how all the scum bag type act hard and the plot is making the Doc responsible for the boys life. It was never mentioned that the scum thug that was with the boy threw down his gun and RAN away. Worthy of summary execution by that ilk. The interest in the boy was lost when they thought he actually was gone but shooting someone would make up for the momentary bad feelings.

However what we did see was how it could be possible to allow falsification of patients notes for goodness knows what purposes.
