Did they really kill the cow (GPS)?
I wonder if they really killed GPS for the film. I've seen a lot of films where they kill animals and cut trees or do similar damage to portrait a certain reality. It hurts me. I hate that.
What do you think?

I think the blood was pure cgi
sharejust watched the uk dvd version approved by the bbfc:the scene in uncut.so knowing the strict policy of the uk cencors on animal cruelty in cross my fingers and the scene was a clever film-magic trick.:-))
shareThe BBFC state:
At one point, a man throws a spear at a cow, which subsequently collapses. However, assurances were received from the film makers that the animal was not harmed. The spear was added after filming, using digital effects, and the appearance of the animal collapsing was created by sedating the cow under veterinary supervision.share
Definitely not...if you watch
...you don't actually see the weapon hit the cow..the cow is drugged then weapon placed with fake blood etc..
For obvious reasons the cow would never be killed for real...plus would be very difficult and very unpredictable to achieve a real scene of the killing of this animal..not that any director would do this anyway

No they didn't. This is on the BBFC website:
